Experience

I have had the opportunity to work throughout the state on a wide variety of prehistoric archaeological sites with periods ranging from Early Archaic to Oneota.
Although I have a general interest in all aspects of archaeological involvement, I have developed a strong interest in Late Woodland upland settlements north of the American Bottom. I have more recently gained an increased curiosity towards the culture and subsistence of the Terminal Late Woodland Late Bluff Tradition. As a result of the multi-faceted nature of my experience, I have also been involved in the excavation and preservation of Illinois historical sites dating as early as the 1820’s. In addition to archaeology, my participation has included genealogical as well as archival research related to local pioneers and early Illinois settlers.
