General Interest/Area of Focus

Leighann is interested in the paleoethnobotany and archaeology of the Midwest and Eastern Woodlands. She has conducted fieldwork in Illinois, Iowa, and Missouri.

Archaeobotany. Botanical analysis of small Middle Woodland sites located in the Lower Illinois River valley region in western Illinois.
